The Holy Spirit is not like the GPS System we ignore while driving to our next destination. He is the Driver and we are the passenger. He drives where He pleases at the rate of speed He chooses. But the question is will we give Him the keys and trust He will take us where we need to go and get us there on time? Or will we complain the as we go on this trip called life, continually asking "are we there yet", and telling the Holy Spirit, "You are going the wrong way?"

"Hey, pay attention. I'm talking"
Hebrews 3:15-19, 2 Samuel 12:1-15, Acts 9:1-19
David and Saul where far from God. David was having an affair and planned a murder. Saul was persecuting Christians to the death. However God got David's attention using a children's story. It was not to belittle David as if he could understand his sin. it was so David could understand the impact of his sin and the consequences of it. David was convicted and turned from sin. He blinded Saul to get His attention not because God was being cruel but to stop Him from sinning against God. It was to stop murder spree and give Saul instruction that changed his belief of who Jesus. And to Saul a new purpose and even change Saul's name to Paul. What is your child like story, what is your blinding light? What is God using to get your attention. Are you listening or are you ignoring God as if He does not know you are heading in the wrong direction. What instruction is He trying to get to you to bring you closer to Him? He is talking are you listening?

???????????????????????????
Hebrews 11:1, 2 Corinthians 5:7
Time and life pulls on us all. It makes us question what we believe at times. But what are we to do when our eyes betray us? What do we do when our beliefs are in question and we unsure.
1) We pray and ask God to help us with our unbelief (Mark 9:24). It okay to have your cage rattled, you are human. But here is where confess our unbelief and ask the Lord for help to overcome it.
2) We listen to God's truth and not the lies of man, this increases our faith (Roman 10:17). We will listen to "foul mouth comedians", "crazy" preachers, "ungodly" music or even "negative" friends and we wonder why our faith wanes. Sometimes we need to get our ears checked and really focus on what we are listening to. So we read His Word, sing His Word, Pray His Word, and Confess His Word out loud.
3) And lastly we need to trust that God knows what He is doing (Jeremiah 29:11) and commit our way to Him (Psalm 37:5). When we fully give our lives over to the Lord although doubt may surface our faith in Christ will always overcome it. Because we trust Him to guide us with His Word instead of being guided by what we see, hear, or feel (Psalm 119:105).
Stay focused you can do this.
