"Who are we and what have we done with Jesus?"

He was called the Suffering Servant (Isaiah 53:10) but we complain at the slightest bit of discomfort. He died so all would be forgiven (John 3:16) but we keep alive the sins of others by constantly reminding them of their past transgressions every chance we get. He preached repentance of sin (Mark 1:14-15) but we teach tolerance of all sin. He said He is the way, truth, and life that leads to God (Jon 14:6) but we chose whatever religion best fits us, redefine truth, and head towards death. He stood for His convictions which caused many to believe (John 8:23-32) but we bow to compromise and cause many to fall away. He told us to seek after the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:25-34) but we seek to enlarge our bank account. He ate with sinners to influence them (Matthew 9:9-13), we eat with sinners and are influenced by them. He rose from the dead as our Lord (Romans 14:7-10) but we live as if He is still dead and not the Lord of our lives. He gave commandments (John 14:15) but we treat them as suggestions. He is the Savior of the world and wants all to know (2 Corinthians 5:18) but we act as if He only came to save us because we tell no one. He is the same, yesterday, today and forevermore (Hebrews 13:8) but we change because of political pressure, family customs, trends, and fads.

The world calls us hypocrites and refuses to accept Jesus because we do not look like the Jesus they have read about, are they wrong? But if we are willing to die to ourselves and live for Christ think of how many more people we can lead to Jesus. The way we live our lives either proves Jesus is real or it makes a mockery of the Gospel. Live for Jesus. Stay focused you can do this!
